  1. Silicon Valley Half Marathon

    April 14 - April 15

    Half Marathon Course: The Silicon Valley Half Marathon will be a USATF Certified Course that starts in downtown San Jose. The first half loops through downtown San Jose, highlighting its many diverse sites and neighborhoods. The course’s second half proceeds on the Alameda before coming back into downtown to finish near Arena Green and the SAP Center. There are no bike path sections and we are not copying the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Jose Half Marathon course.

    California's greatest Bike Park meets California's largest Skate Park! The Lake Cunningham Bike Park officially opens on Saturday, April 14th! Lake Cunningham will become the premier park for Action Sports in the West! Ride your bike with Councilwoman Sylvia Arenas on Saturday, April 14 from 10AM-11AM as we cut the ribbon on this new Evergreen amenity and watch the amazing BMX Freestyle performance by Robert Castillo's Team!

    Run alongside your best friend at Los Lagos 5k Pet Run! Move your paws and enjoy the flat and fun course around the picturesque views of Los Lagos. The First Annual 5k Pet Run is for the whole family, so bring the kids and your pets! Register to run or walk the course, whatever you choose we guarantee that you’ll have a great time. Once you cross the finish line, you’ll head over to our Clubhouse for food, games, FREE activities for the kids, awards, and more! Hang out on the lawn with your furry friends and enjoy a day at Los Lagos Golf Course. The event is for runners, walkers, and their dogs!   3. Grand Opening of Lake Cunningham Action Sports Bike Park

    April 14, 10:00 AM - April 15, 4:00 PM @ Lake Cunningham Action Sports Park

    The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services in collaboration with Councilmember Sylvia Arenas will host a ribbon cutting ceremony of San José’s new bike park at Lake Cunningham Action Sports Park on Saturday, April 14 at 10:00 a.m. The festivities will take place through the weekend. The addition of the bike park expands the legendary skate park, California’s largest, into a 10-acre action sports facility.     This event is returning to San Jose as part of national fundraising campaign to end the devastating effects of MS. There will be up to thirty (30) sponsor booths, dj, stage, refreshments and a 1-mile or 5k walk option along the Guadalupe River Trail for participants.
