Nearly 300 Attend 6th Annual Alzheimer's Latino Conference

Families, caregivers and service providers gathered on April 27 at the Mexican Heritage Plaza to learn how Alzheimer’s affects the Latino community. There were nearly 300 attendees at the informative event, delivered in Spanish. Attendees enjoyed the resource fair informing visitors of resources including PRNS and Mayfair Community Center. Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. By 2050, as many as 1.3 million Latinos could be living with Alzheimer’s.
